As a former teacher, I know it's important to keep your kids excited for school.  A simple and easy thing that really helps kids out is having their parents stay involved with what's going on.  Keep up to date with your child's projects, homework, and activities at school. 

I also know that elementary kids LOVE it when their parents volunteer in their own classroom.  If you have the time, this is a great opportunity, and their teachers will appreciate it. 

I have a friend who makes cookies every Friday for an after school snack.  Their are lots of ideas.  Be creative and find what works for your family!
